General
LINTUL2 is a crop growth model that is able to simulate crop growth model under both potential and water limited (i.e. rainfed) conditions. It assumes that nutrient supply and crop management are optimal. The main processes modelled are photosynthesis, phenology, assimilate distribution over crop organs, evapo-transpiration and a soil water balance. The photosynthesis calculation is based on a simple relationship between the incoming radiation intercepted by the canopy and the crop growth.
Specifications
Total biomass production, yield, evapo-transpiration, amount of soil water; results are given for both irrigated and rainfed conditions
Software requirements

Examples
LINTUL2 can be applied for analysing crop experiments under irrigated and rainfed conditions; it is also useful for starting with crop modelling
