Description

LINTUL4-VSHT is the same model as LINTUL4 which can simulate potential, water limited and nitrogen limited growth for many crops. The difference with LINTUL-4 is that some aditional characteristics are included: (a) vernalisation effect on phenology,  (b) stem reserves and re-allocation of the reserves to storage organs, (c) sink limitation as based the number of storage organs (e.g. grain number) which may limit the maximal growth of the storage organs and the maximal amount of storage organs, (d) heat stress around mainly anthesis which may limit the formed number of storage organs and thus may limit the maximal growth and the maximal amount of storage organs
